They are going to pour cement

 Last night at dinner, Keith told me they will pour cement this morning at 6am.

I just crept down stairs and picked in the kitchen and Keith was fixing his coffee. I did not want him to know I was there so I came back upstairs. I am sitting in bed for a while. This is usually when Rick drives to the BHSC to exercise. I wonder if he will watch for a while. When I looked outside the door to the workman’s shed was closed. I do not want to disturb anything.

I did not sleep well. I was cold sometimes and then hot. I sleep best if I am warm with the covers on me. I think I am going to go look out the window. 

I am on the deck. They have a cement truck here from Allied and the gigantic  truck with a long pole used to pour the cement.  There are several men just watching in green shirts and hard hats. 

I am sitting in our family rooms. I have my pajamas on and finished my breakfast of yogurt and toast with butter and honey.  Rick came down and took some old newspapers I have been reading. The truck is spreading the cement on the other side of the road. I am going to watch more.  There is another truck waiting to deliver more cement. 

Joseph graduates from 8th grade

 Rick is cleaning out his bookshelf, the washing machine is cleaning my dark clothes. I am looking out the window and see green leaves blowing in a light breeze. I just got a flower text from Patsy Smith.

I hear the churning of the washing machine. I ate blueberry pancakes for breakfast using the berries we picked on Monday.

I took lots of pictures of the ceremony last night which I will include.

Today is the eightieth anniversary of D DAY

 I am in our family room with the television on. MSNBC a president Biden will soon address an assemblage of people in France. I am not sure of the time. They keep showing pictures of the troops storming the beac. The most important was Omaha. Many of the survivors who are attending are 100 yeats old. Many are wearing badges. 

I was two years old when this happened. The Germans were expecting the troops. My husband will be home soon. I emptied the dishwasher when I first came down stairs. I poured a cup of coffee and went down on the porch to see if Z Keith and his men had arrived. They were there, five of the waiting for the cement trucks. 

They just read a speech from Franklin Delenor Rosevelt announcing the assault. 

Now they are showing the president and the French president with their wives walking down a blue path to the stage. Planes are flying above. It is very dramatic, now the women went behind. 

Lots of work at our House

 I hear bangs and bumps and scrapes. lots of foot steps going this way and that.

I hear noise of men up stairs as I sit and try to record my life. 

It is probably the best thing I can do so I don’t get rattled.

Rick is in charge. He is making all the decisions. Right now they are replacing hinges on the cabinets in the kitchen. Yesterday and Monday they finished up the railing on the steps going down to our back yard.

I am going to take some pictures then show them to Tucker via chat.

I woke up very early, came down stairs and read all the old newspapers. I read the story about Hunter  Biden who is now on trail for buying a gun when he was using drugs. He is a very troubled young man even though he is a lawyer. Now that I know the story I can follow the trial more.

I made blueberry pancakes with the strawberries I picked yesterday. I ate them all except one. 

I put the trash in our trash can and Rick took it to the top of our driveway. We have three trucks in front of our driveway. 

Wayne is building a rail and more.

 I am in bed. Later I will go for a swim. Then we will have a birthday dinner for Walker at the Mexican restaurant near the trestle on 250 West.

The plans were to go to the pool and maybe do swim team. I watche several videos about how top.ay the recorder. I became tired. I ate fish sticks and macaroni and cheese for lunch.my feet are cold.we went to church and learned about Rest during the sermon. Everyday I tell. Myself I am going to clean either the living room or my studio but I then procrastinate. I get very tired and take a nap. I am doing Module 7 in Align my story. 

Yesterday we had a glass of wine with the Wicks, in fact we had two glasses each and Rick brought some cheese from Wegmans The Winery  is right next to their house named Wisdom Oak. It has expanded with anew shelter.  It is difficult to reach since it is at least two miles from the entrance.  we discussed her brother, Charlie  who is now living with them. She went on and told family stories which were too difficult to follow since I did not know any of them.  We see Charlie at Christ Church.
