I did not sleep well. I was cold all night. At 5am I woke up got dressed and walked around the ship. I wanted to see parts I did not see yesterday. On the fifth floor there is a lovely room. I found a chair and sat there for awhile. The captain and his assistants came in. I asked the? “Is there a meeting? He answered. No, we are just doing our morning rounds. I looked through a book about the back roads of California. I recognized some pictures of places I visited when Bradley lived in Arcadia and Eureka. I read a quote by John Muir.
I want to see everything before it gets dark”.
We are parked beside some sites of industrial Stockton. They are buildings but I do not know what to call them.
Today is Joseph and David Quinn birthday. It is cold out so we must dress warm when we go to the museum. I wrote post cards.
The ride down the River yesterday was spectacular. We went under several bridges that had to be lifted. Most of the scenery was farm land. Rick and I thought rice fields but I am not sure.
