What's happening in late October

I am spending time on the Duane Snow campaign for Board of Supervisors. He is our neighbor and I am friends with his wife. We o back many years when we used to do all Night Long the prom all nightparty for the kids all over the County. the ideas was to keep the kids at one party instead of driving all over the county. Recently we biked around West Leigh and the other neighborhood close to us. It was fun having an older woman to bike with. We discovered new roads, the Tree Farm being the most adventurous, but always found our way back home. the tree Farm road is off Old Ballard and literally goes through a tree farm but ends up close to Garth road.

Duane is running on the Republican ticket. For many years I have voted Democrat. The Democrats are more the people's party and my children have led me in that direction. I grew up in a very Strong Republican party because Homer my father worked for the state of Pennsylvania and his job depended on the Republican being in office. Otherwise he did not have Job. When the party was out of office he worked for the city.

I attended a meeting Monday night to organize for Election day activities. I am going to be a poll watcher. I need to go to Albemarle county office building to do the training Thursday night.

Yesterday Theresa called and talked for a long time. She is going to go to Harrisburg and help Emily clean out the house on Briggs Street. Emily is gently trying to nudge Joe,my brother, into moving into Ecumenical house. We are going to drive to Harrisburg on Thanksgiving day. I need to write my sisters and see how far they have gotten on what we should bring to the dinner which will be held at Jay Forster's house.
